ABOUT

Amber Wetzel is a Certified Dog Trainer through Animal Behavior College.  She formed Peek-A-Boo Pet Sitting Services in 2006, then went to school to become a trainer.  During this time, she mentored under and worked part-time at Charm City Dogs, helping with the doggy daycare.  In 2007, Amber handed the business over to her sister, Crystal, yet continued with the training.  While volunteering at the Humane Society of Harford County in Maryland, she began working for Mutt Magic Training Services part-time from 2009 to 2014.  It was there she learned about advanced training techniques and behavior modification, eventually holding free behavior consults to the public at the shelter.  At this time, Amber was also working through canine selectivity issues with her own dog.  After some successful behavior modification, Tequila, became became a better member of society and received her own Canine Good Citizen certification. Amber then started training work in Schutzhund, a German sport, with her American Pit Bull, Megatron, but he was lost very early due to health issues.

Amber now lives in the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania with her Pit Bull / Australian Shepherd mix named Pikey.  With the assistance of her daughter, training is currently underway to compete in Agility, Obedience and Rally-O competitions in the near future.  In addition to taking various seminars and on-line courses on a regular basis to continue learning; Amber is an American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator, and a member of the Williamsport Dog Training Club (WDTC).
